18,000 Men

This is amazing. My papa sent this to me and I had to share it. This incredible picture was taken in 1918. It is 18,000 men preparing for war in a training camp at CampDodgein Iowa. Eighteen thousand men!!! What a priceless gift from our grandfathers...

Brianna

For the past 5 days, Brianna has been staying at our house while her parents were in NY. It has been a lot of laughs, coughing, and sniffles because we all got sick. We are better now though. We also went to Sea World because we all have passes. It was fun :)

Service

Today we went to the Temple for a youth activity. We were cleaning temple grounds. It was a wonderful experience. It was spiritual at times and fun in others. All in all, it was a really good day. I think we split into 2 or 3 groups. My group involved moving mulch with snow shovels. The people who were in my group were Nashua, Daniel, Dylan, and Bryce. Everyone had a blast...

A whale of a day!

Today we went to Sea World for half of the day.
Jordan really wanted to go there before his mission, so my parents got us passes. It was only Kirstie, Jordan, my mom, and me. We didn't do everything, but we are going back soon. First we pet some sting rays. Then we went on Journey to Atlantis. We had so much fun the first time and it was only a 5 minute wait, so we decided to get soaked a second time. After that we went and saw the dolphins. Believe it or not, we actually got to pet one! It was so awesome. It was wet, squishy, and rubbery. I loved the dolphins. After that we went see the penguins and puffins. Those little guys had so much energy, it was hard to take a decent picture of them. They are speedy little things. Then we went to the shark encounter. After sharp teeth and gills, we went to see SHAMU! :) that was a lot of fun. We didn't sit in the soak zone, but we still enjoyed it. It was so amazing. Then we were off to the dolphin nusery. The sad part about this was that we couldn't pet them in this area, but the good part was that they come up close and jump in the water. We are deffinetly going again very soon ;) -megan

ITBS

Megan and I are taking the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills. We do it every year at this lady's house, and it goes from Monday to Thursday. Everyday we leave at 8:00 and get there at about 9:00 and wait for the other people to get there and then we start testing. We take a break, eat, and play outside for about 20 minutes then go back inside and test some more. We get to play while we wait for our parents to get there. : )

Kirstie's Lilly Plant

Kirstie just decided she wanted something to take care of. We were at Lowes and she fell in love with this lilly plant so I thought I would post a picture of her and her plant. She says we will take another one when she helps it grow a lot bigger and prettier ;)

Fun in the Sun!

Today we went to the White's pool for about an hour. Sister White is such a great friend and lets us come to their community pool. She also let us take Grace! We had a super fun time and I'm pretty sure Grace did too. Jordan came and thought Grace was so funny because she was non-stop giggling. She really liked Jordan and said his name a few times!!! My mom called us "bathing beauties" ... take a look and you'll see what I mean ;)
Grace is so sweet...Thanks Sister White for letting us take her with us :) (we were the only ones there which was awesome)

school

This is FLVS. This was my school this year. I took English, Algebra, and World History. It was a cool experience. My mom helped me do Science out of a book. I'm so glad she homeschooled me this year.

hurray...

Finally

We have a blog! Yay! This is the Berge family blog. We finally got one because I finished school. I'm so excited that I have an early summer. Jordan is home from his first year at BYU then he is going on his mission to Auckland, New Zealand. Now I'm going to explain the name of our lovely blog. Six love...a perfect set. In tennis six love means six-zero. Which is called in tennis a perfect set or bageling your opponent. Since there are six of us in the family, we thought that was a cute play on words. Just to let you know, there will be lots of postings in the future! ;)
