Cow appreciation Day at Chickfila! Our friends the claytons texted us about going to chickfila and dressing up as cows and getting free chicken. So we met them there and had lunch. (dressed as cows of course) Sis. Clayton took some pics so here they are.

I finished elementary school today. (at home of course) Wahoo! I am so happy to be done, but it still hasn't sunk in yet. I can't believe it, it seems like yesterday I was walking into Mrs. Graber's kindergarten class. I can't wait for this summer! We are going to Utah, Nauvoo, and I am also planning to go to a tennis camp!

Meeting and greet

At school on Thursday, my teacher and Dylan's teacher paired up to meet some 4th graders at Round Lake Elementary School. We were assigned a student that we had to write a book (only knowing a little bit) about them. So now we got to give them their books and meet them. We had a party and Publix donated baked goods and almost everyone brought in a bottle of soda. Here are some photos:

I borrowed a couple of items from Sister Porter's blog to share with you all. Look closely at the picture of "transfers in the rain" and you'll see Elder Berge. He told us he was a driver that day. Then, there is a picture of zone conference. They have a wonderful tradition of singing to the lovely sisters who provide them with their fabulous feasts. And last but definitely not least is the report Sister Porter shared from Elder Scott's visit. I was especially touched by the apostolic blessing he pronounced upon the missionaries. What an awesome experience Jordan is having on his mission. He called on Mother's Day and sounded terrific. He is in Hamilton now and is just learning his way around the new area. He loves the people he serves, and he can't say enough good things about President and Sister Porter. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people looking after my son.

The New Zealand Auckland Mission was fortunate enough to have Elder Richard G. Scott come and lift the missionaries for 4 hours on 30 April 2009! It was a spiritual feast! Your missionaries may have told you about it. Not all the mission was allowed to come because of distances in the mission. I wasn't able to provide any pictures because everything was done inside the chapel, however, I wanted to share with you the Apostolic blessing that was pronounced upon your sons and daughters-including every missionary within the mission.

Elder Richard G. Scott’s Apostolic Blessing on NZAM:
“As you ponder and try to understand who the Savior is during your mission, you will understand him more fully and it will be the foundation of your life. For those of you who are mastering another language I invoke a blessing of the gift of tongues. You exercise that gift with faith. After today you should find a greater ability to learn and communicate in an acquired tongue. What would I have you remember from our experience together, just one thing, an individual—insignificant and not very strong or capable but with the mantle and keys of an apostle said to you:
‘I positively know and bear witness that Jesus Christ lives. He is a glorified resurrected being of perfect love. He personally guides this church. And I accept responsibility before my Father in Heaven for what I say for it is true. His Son lives!’”

Heathrow Spring Fling Tennis Tournament

This week I had the opportunity to participate in a charity tournament at Heathrow Racquet Club. It was lots of fun! My doubles partner of 3 years couldn't make it at the last minute, so another teammate of mine filled in and we won our division :) Also, Kirstie and Derek surprised me by showing up to watch the finals. They hid in the back because they knew I would be nervous if I knew they were there...sneaky...very sneaky. Thanks, Kirstie for the pictures.
